Chin/ankle grazers/close fitting trousers/crochet and lace
Woo! Seems like there are a lot of things to work with, but to stick to our mantra and keep it simple. By keeping the colours similar with gradual lighter versions the majority of the focus will be on the top half, as the eye in theory will skim from bottom to top with a gradient effect. This allows for room to experiment with different textures such a lace and crochet. Keep the look balanced by having an item of jewellery that matches the top half of your outfit and another piece that matches the bottom.
Florals
Not everybody is confident about wearing bright floral colours so keep the design and stick to just one colour! Team with the most statement colour there (in this case it is black) we’ve dressed up our Romantic party skirt with a simple tank top, a quirky necklace and highly decorated bracelet with a neat belt to cinch in the waist and you’ll go from being fearful of the floral to princess of the prints!
Block colours
Wearing block colours can be the most daunting as it happily breaks all the rules, so how do you do it if you’re a bit nervous without feeling like you’ve raided a jumble sale?
Introduce yourself to the idea by splashing colour where you can best place is on the foot wear and the accessories. We’ve gone for one the hottest clashes of the year orange and blue, which we’ll admit out loud, does sound a bit dubious. However, by having the dress orange like our Closet Ponte wrap dress, the work is already done; just introduce a flick of blue around your outfit in the form of earrings and a stand out necklace and footwear. It is enough to make your outfit pop, although if you are feeling that more daring by the minute, crank it up a notch by coordinating your handbag with the earrings instead of the dress and team with a different coloured jacket in this instance you could add an emerald green- and pretty much leave others green with envy!
Go on try it and see!
